Compensation and motivation both are very familiar terms in the organizational context. The compensation and motivation belong to the same purpose. One is responsible for the other. Compensation implies the monetary or any other type of benefit given to the employee for the hard-work or recognition that he has rendered to the organization and deserves this in return.

The compensation to the employee is very essential otherwise the employees will not be motivated towards work. The compensation is provided to the employees to motivate them towards work. When employees are compensated for the work or service that they have rendered to the company, they are motivated with this compensation. The employees expect something in return for the good service or performance that they have yielded to the company. The compensation should be such that it again motivates the employees to perform better in the future.

The motivation implies that some reward or compensation is given to the employees to provide some recognition or monetary compensation. The motivation is very essential for employees to extract better and better performance from their side. The organization should act from time to time to recognize the good work of the employee and compensate him for the better work. When the better work of the employee is compensated he will be motivated to give best performance in the future and gain more compensation in return. Compensation is a way to motivate employees.
