The Program Manager will develop, manage and optimize a broad portfolio of grant programs across the Benefits Access team. The current portfolio includes grants for increasing participation in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, Medicare Savings Program and the Earned Income Tax Credit and is expected to grow with additional programs in 2022. This position will liaise with the Grants Management Team and Benefits Access Program Leads to deepen grantee relationships, identify best practices and learnings, develop and oversee AARP Foundation outreach efforts to raise awareness of programs on behalf of grantees, and co-create cross-program opportunities to increase impact in community. This individual will collaborate extensively with many different functional areas at AARP Foundation on everything from marketing to performing research to evaluating impact. They will also lead development of new grant program proposals and be an integral voice in evaluating and shaping new grantee cohorts for our Benefits Access programs.
Responsibilities
Develops and implements solutions
Executes and evaluates existing programs to identify improvements and to measure outcomes.
Collaborates with program leadership in the development of long-term goals and strategic plans to ensure continued successful growth and scalability
Uses existing data to identify program enhancements and identifies needed data and research to maximize insight and experience management
Managing enterprise assets and budgets
Project and process management
Partner and stakeholder engagement (including volunteers, participants and program partners)
Reporting on program activities/outcomes
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
5 years of experience managing a diverse set of stakeholders
3 years project management experience
Experience developing and managing cohorts, committees and/or consortiums; preferably with grantee organizations
Experience with grants measurement/evaluation
Familiarity with marketing campaigns to leverage outreach
Commitment to achieving equitable outcomes and in employing a person-centered approach in all work
This is an in-office position and the ability to work effectively surrounded by moderate noise level is required
Demonstrated verbal communication skills required
Flexible Work Arrangement (FWA)
AARP observes Mondays and Fridays as telecommuting workdays, except for essential functions. Remote work and telecommuting can only be done within the United States and its territories.
