We are seeking a Scientist I for a very important client.
What will you do?
Maintain mammalian cell cultures for use in protein and viral vector production.
Characterize cell performance using techniques including flow cytometry, ELISA and related techniques (BLI), gene expression assays (qPCR/ddPCR).
Introduce genes into cells through transient transfection.
Meticulously track, compile and report results in accordance with relevant Thermo Fisher Scientific standards.
Interact closely with other internal departments in the development of new products and troubleshooting of existing processes
Comply with all company safety, training, and quality regulations (e.g., ISO compliance, GLP/GMP requirements, etc.) and procedures
Requirement:
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
The successful candidate will assist the Cell Biology R&D team in mammalian cell line development with a focus on protein and cell and gene therapy products.
B.S. degree in Cell biology, Virology or related scientific discipline with 1-3 years of relevant experience with mammalian cell culture technique
Proficient using MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word
