an experienced attorney with 10-20 years of labor and employment litigation experience and a portable book of business to join our team. Candidates must have solid experience in one or more of the following areas: advice and counsel to businesses of all sizes regarding applicable local, state, and federal employment laws and significant management litigation experience in a wide variety of employment issues. In addition, experience with public and private sector unions is valued.
Ideal candidates will be a subject matter expert in the relevant practice area(s). Candidates must have excellent academic credentials, strong writing and research abilities as well as a thorough understanding of the substantive requirements of relevant local, state and federal laws including, but not limited to, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family Medical Act, Fair Labor Standards Act and other relevant labor and employment laws.
Candidates must have a portable book of business and a demonstrated drive for additional business generation. Candidates will gain access to our well-developed national platform coupled with our flexible rate structure and tailored client service arrangements, outstanding cross-selling opportunities, and substantial autonomy.
This position can be located in our Houston or Dallas office
(Houston is preferred)
and current admission to the Texas Bar must be active and in good standing.
To Be Considered, a Candidate Must Have
At least ten years of experience with employment law matters is required.
Experience in all aspects of labor and employment litigation, including drafting pleadings, taking depositions, and arguing motions.
Demonstrated ability to manage and grow client relationships.
A self-sufficient portable book of business
Strong analytical, writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
A J.D. from an ABA-approved law school, and
Be in good standing, as well as an active member of the Texas Bar. Additional bar licenses are beneficial but not required.
Compensation will be commensurate with experience and portable book; full benefits included.
