**MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. is looking for an all-star Benefits Coordinator to join us as a key member of the People team at our New York City headquarters, supporting employees across the U.S. and Canada. The Benefits Coordinator is responsible for assisting with the administration of all benefits, leave, and retirement programs, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, and 401(k) plan. What you’ll do:
Ensure the accuracy of all benefits data in the HRIS to provide carriers with accurate eligibility and enrollment information
Support the annual open enrollment process and assist with ongoing new-hire orientations
Perform regular audits, reporting, and annual plan compliance testing
Be the first point of contact for all employee benefits and leave questions and route escalated issues to the appropriate team members when necessary
Organize and reconcile benefit invoices and work with Accounts Payable team to ensure timely payment
Maintain all benefits-related processes, documentation, and communications
Effectively interpret, process and administer all leave-of-absence requests and disability claims, including state and federal leave programs
Respond to 401(k) inquiries from managers and employees relating to enrollments, plan changes and contribution amounts
Who you are:
Backed by at least 1 year of relevant experience in Benefits or Insurance Processing
Armed with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent education
Comfortable in Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets and eager to become a guru
Extremely detail-oriented (you’ve never met an “i” you didn’t want to dot)
An expert communicator in writing and in person (the ability to communicate professionally with external and internal folks, and with all levels of management, is paramount here!)
A positive team player who’s
passionate about cultivating a supportive, inclusive workplace culture
Able to manage highly confidential and sensitive matters with poise and maturity
Comfortable juggling different tasks and ensuring they are completed in a timely manner and without errors; able to quickly digest and execute new processes and identify opportunities to make improvements
Not on the Office of Inspector General’s List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE)
Extra Credit:
Experience with group benefit plans and/or leave administration
Knowledge of HR systems
