Duties
Oversee key elements of
the Summer Associate and on-campus recruiting programs
Help to plan and attend the
Summer Associate Weekend
Oversee and organize the Summer
Associate
assignment process, as well as the Summer Associate Advisor program and
assignments
Plan summer events calendar
including researching venues, planning logistics and attending many of
the events
Coordinate Summer Associate
Orientation; scheduling, conducting and presenting at orientation
Work closely with the London
Office to oversee transfers of Summer Associates between the New York and
London Office including coordination of visa authorization, housing and
all other logistics
Assist with securing visas for
New York based foreign Summer Associates
Serve as a point-of-contact
for Summer Associates and conduct exit interviews
Update and modify internal and
external communication resources
Manage OCI registration, including
payment, marketing materials, confirmation and tracking of dates, feedback
forms, etc.
Screen mail-in resumes and proof
responses
Secure all necessary hotel arrangements
for OCI program
Travel to schools to staff hospitality
suites and ensure success of OCI process
Plan and travel to cocktail
receptions and offer dinners
Assist with call-back selections
and schedule call-back interviews accordingly
Assist in maintaining applicant
tracking/offer information
Process and approve applicant
expenses
Organize and attend spring 1L
recruiting events
Coordinate 1L interview program
and organize 1L programming at law schools
Train and supervise full-time
and temporary Recruiting Assistants
Draft and maintain applicable
budgets
Required
4 years of legal personnel
experience in a law firm
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
(Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and Lotus Notes
Knowledge of PeopleSoft and
viDesktop preferred
Articulate and professional
demeanor and detail oriented work manner
Strong written and verbal communication
skills
The ability to multitask, work
well under pressure and complete assignments in an accurate and timely
manner
Maintain confidentiality and
exercise a high standard of judgment and discretion
Bachelor’s degree required
